It’s the day before fishing opener.  Do you have any opening day or weekend traditions?  Mine has been with my old man ever since I was allowed in the boat.  We’ve been lucky enough to have one of our best friends join us the past couple years!

Opening Day Traditions on the Water

We found a boat that lost power today on the lake.  We did our good deed for the day!  Towed them into the launch.  The guy tried to pay me.  I told him him no sorry.  Help the next guy they see broken down on the lake!!  Everyone can use some help sometimes!!!  The guy was with his wife, young daughter, and dog.  We tried to let him have us help load his boat but he insisted no.  Pay it forward my friends!!!!  Everyone can always use some help regardless of age, profession, or circumstances!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend

Paying It Forward on the Lake

Anyone that knows me knows that UMD Bulldog rods are special to me  Dad did some great work advertising for me.  All the old Bulldogs players are going to be jealous of this rod!!   One of 10 that were made back in 2018.  The coaches and staff all got their 2018 National Championship Rods.  Time for a player to have one of them!

Tomorrow is the Northland Adaptive Recreation  Shoot for Fun. Please ensure that you stop by. We extend our gratitude to all shooters and volunteers. This event is the largest fundraiser of the year. The proceeds will enable individuals with disabilities to participate in various sports of their choice, including swimming, softball, golf, skiing, and archery. Programs are available for everyone to enjoy. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow at Old Vermilion Trail, just north of Duluth. Good luck to all participants.
